Carpe Diem - quam minimum credula postero

Bob Bagg is the first of the Funis to depart on that great adventure that he so well described during his tribute afternoon on March 14th 2010.  We will all miss his contributions - social, anecdotal and especially culinary - at our future gatherings.  (The title line means "Seize the day, trusting as little as possible in the future" - Horace, as quoted by Bob in his obituary)  See the minutes of the Funis memorial dinner at the Archives page or by clicking this link

On May 27th 2017, we also lost The Chairman, our highly-regarded and much-beloved Greig Macleod.  Greig is undoubtedly partying it up with Bagg at the Great Funi Table in the Sky, and the conversation can only be imagined.

The 2020 WhitLem 47th Annual Christmas Gathering was scheduled for December 19th but has been cancelled due to the influence of some sort of virus.  The 2021 WhitLem 48th Annual Christmas Gathering is expected to take place on December 18th.

2021 Summer Dinner is subject to further discussion/arrangements

ARCHIVES!!  History on your browser!
In commemoration of the Funi 25th, your Webmaster has prepared the first eight dinner minutes (A through H) and placed them on the Archives page.  Try not to turn green when you see the prices we were paying for wine and liquor.

Special Thanks to Gay Conrad-Bagg, who has kindly allowed the Funis to use a portion of the web space allocated to her by Sympatico.  The space was used to store extra photos and similar material that would not fit in the paltry allocation given for any single account.

Geez, we gave all of you Funi calendars! Why do you need to come here to check these things? Look at the friggin' calendar, for pete's sake!
