Viewing pictures

Our pictures are now being stored on the "Photobucket" website.  This has been done because pictures are large files and take up quite a bit of storage room - more than our regular resources can handle without running out of space.  Our Photobucket account is " http://photobucket.com/funis ".  If anyone wishes to copy photos to this site, contact your Webmaster ("Narce") for the password.

Photobucket's free accounts are supported by advertisements that appear on the album pages.  This is a pain, but it saves us $40 a year!  The ads are not "pop-ups" that will cover or hide the pictures, and they will not harm your computer.  But if you're wondering why the Funis appear to be endorsing iPhones, that's the reason.

On the side (under "Sub-albums") there is a list of "albums" that correspond to our events (Dinner 2006, Dinner 2007, etc.)  Some of these may also have sub-sub-albums that you will see listed if you click on one of the albums.

To see all of the images in a "slideshow" format, there is a "view as slideshow" link in the upper-left corner of the album page.

If you click on any image in the album view, you will see an enlarged copy of the picture.  Above the picture are buttons that allow you to move back and forth among the images.  To see the largest available picture, you can click the image.  Clicking a full-size image will return you to browsing the images.  To save a copy of the photo, right-click on the full-size picture and select "save image".

The pictures here have been made smaller than the originals (the site does this automatically as pictures are loaded).  If anyone wants a full-sized copy, just contact your Webmaster and I'll send you the full file, or otherwise arrange for you to get a copy.

UPDATE as of 2019

Photobucket has changed its policy, and will now allow only a certain quantity of pictures without paying for an account (Boo!  Hiss!).  Furthermore, they are inserting a "watermark" on our pictures that make them less than desirable.

While they claim they won't delete our existing photos, we cannot upload any new pictures without a paid account.

I am therefore gradually taking pictures off of Photobucket and moving them to a new "Funi Pix" web page.  This has a couple of advantages: there are no pop-up ads, and the pictures are saved in full size.  But it is a slow process, and I can only ask that you bear with it, and let me know if there are any problems that you encounter along the way.
